If you have been around NAMI for any length of time, you know that NAMIWalks, our annual fundraising and mental health awareness event, is the centerpiece of our entire year. It is a time of fun, fellowship, and walking together for those dealing with mental health conditions and their loved ones!

But then COVID 19 hit, and for two years, we had virtual NAMIWalks Your Way, with NAMI members and friends walking separately across the state. These walks were very successful and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. But it just wasn’t the same.

This year, our traditional in-person NAMIWalks is back! On May 21, we will be gathering at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh to step out for mental health. There will be games, food, and most importantly, a walk through the park for mental health! And for those who are still not able to be around others in crowds, there is still a virtual option.
