Our mental health system is clearly broken. For instance, last year, 44.7% of adults in North Carolina reported symptoms of anxiety or depression, and 22.1% were unable to get needed counseling or therapy. Even scarier is the number of our youth that are struggling, and dying unnecessarily because of mental health issues.

A free NAMI Smarts for Advocacy workshop is being held via Zoom on January 29th at 9am. This workshop helps people living with mental illness, friends and family transform their passion and lived experience into skillful grassroots advocacy for mental health.
