National Award Presented To NAMI NC Member

Lucy Wilmer, NAMI Pitt County member, and former chair of the NAMI NC Peer Leadership Council, was awarded the Ken Steele Award during the annual NAMI business meeting on Saturday.

Each year, in conjunction with the NAMI National Convention, individuals and organizations are honored for their outstanding work in furthering the goals of the NAMI movement. The Ken Steele Award recognizes outstanding contributions by an individual living with mental illness to improve quality of life, increase empowerment and promote integration and inclusion for other peers.
