Support Groups let you know “You Are Not Alone”. Groups can give you the opportunity to express your feelings without the fear of judgment. To share your thoughts, your resources, and learn and share coping skills that can possibly help someone else. You have the opportunity to meet and make new friends and develop a positive support team.

Lack of information and misconceptions surrounding mental health issues can prevent many people of color from getting the help and support they need.

NAMI Durham has begun a Stress and Anxiety Group for Minorities to address this need.
