For years, NAMI North Carolina has urged the North Carolina Legislature to follow 38 other states in expanding Medicaid using resources provided, in large part, by the federal government. But for years, the move toward expansion has stalled.
This year, the move to expand Medicaid has received new life by gaining support on both sides of the aisle. But that doesn’t mean that expansion is a done deal. Far from it.
