People, Place and Purpose: A Vision for the Failing Mental Health System

Dr. Tom Insel, the former director of the National Institute of Mental Health(NIMH) will share what he has learned on his journey through jails and homeless shelters. He suggests that, even when the problem is medical, the solutions are social, environmental, and political. Dr. Insel will explain his vision for solutions needed to the mental health crisis — most of which are hiding in plain sight — a message that is hopeful for families and urgent for all of us.
