Every year, NAMI North Carolina recognizes individuals or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary work and advocacy on behalf of all those affected by mental illness. There are several award categories that are considered, like the Youth Empowerment Award, given to recognize a youth (25 years or younger) with a connection to mental illness who has had a significant impact in the community through activities such as bringing youth into NAMI, involvement in campus clubs, raising awareness and engagement in NAMI programs

Nominations will be reviewed and awards selected by the awards committee. Nominations must be received no later than September 10, 2020.
