Special Free Class for Caregivers of Children/Teens!

NAMI Basics is free 6-session program designed for parents or caregivers of children and teens experiencing symptoms of mental illness or challenging emotional or behavioral difficulties. Learn about diagnosis, treatment, medications, effect on family, coping, stress, and more.

The program will held in two locations – Wake Forest and Apex. The Apex program will begin tonight from 6p-8:30p. The Wake Forest class will begin on March 7th and the classes will be held from 9a-11:30a. Both are sponsored by NAMI Wake County. Register here or email education@nami-wake.org for questions.

NAMISmarts for Advocacy Training – Durham, Saturday, February 15th 10:30a-2:30pm

NAMI NC FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP FACILITATOR TRAINING!

Are you interested in helping others? Our Support Groups provide an environment where participants can talk frankly about their challenges prompted by mental health issues and help one another through their learned wisdom. In our 2-day training, you will learn how to co-facilitate one of these on-going support groups in your community. NAMI NC is conducting a free Facilitator training February 22-23.
