Last, but certainly not least, this Saturday is World Mental Health Day!

First off, NAMI North Carolina’s annual conference taking place virtually from 9am to 4pm. Registration is still open, but there are limited spaces so sign up now to join in learning from our roster of dynamic speakers presenting on today’s issues affecting our community’s mental health.

Additionally, we will announce our new board members, present our annual awards and, among other items, there will opportunities to network with like-minded individuals too.

Inspired by Maya Angelou’s motivational work, this year’s theme is “And Still I Rise.” This theme encapsulates challenges associated with mental illness, and the determination to not give up, and finding a way to thrive – regardless of society’s stigmas and current shortcomings.

On this day, NAMIWalks participants will make strides to support NAMI’s mission and celebrate “Mental Health for All” during this demanding year of challenges and changes. NAMI Charlotte is actively participating with their NAMIWalks event. Click here for more information.
