Join us and meet two NAMI women with very different stories, NAMI NC Board Member Felishia McPherson and NAMI Director of National Education Programs Suzanne Robinson. Felishia thought of herself as normal and avoided the traps that entangle so many young people – drinking, smoking, drugs. But she struggled emotionally and ended up a temporary guest (AKA inmate) of the NC Department of Public Safety. It was there that she learned that mental health treatment and helping others could change her life. Suzanne grew up watching family members struggle – and rise above – mental health conditions; she has a comedic gift for relating the stories of that childhood while speaking a language of recovery and hope.

Thursdays with NAMI starts at 7pm and is free and open to all. Join us via Facebook Live or click here to register to participate via Zoom and to view the schedule for future sessions.
