OPA! You may know this traditional way of expressing enthusiasm in Greek culture. (Or when smashing plates!) In this case, NAMI NC would like to get in the spirit and say “OPA!” to show our excitement and appreciation for a very special “Greek” Organization at the North Carolina State University. NCSU’s chapter of Omega Phi Alpha’s permanent service focus is on Mental Health (Omega Phi Alpha is spelled ΩΦA in Greek or OPA!)
On the weekend of April 15th-18th, the Alpha Lambda chapter of ΩΦA at North Carolina State University is hosting their fourth annual Outrace the Stigma 5K benefitting NAMI NC! Between sponsorships, registrations, donations, and t-shirt orders, the sorority has already raised over $2,500 that will be donated to NAMI North Carolina. OPA!!
