Traditionally in April, NAMI Wilmington holds its Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at the Blue Water Grill in Wrightsville Beach. It’s a good time had by all. A great meal, a terrific view and time to meet and see individuals we may not have been able to see. Unfortunately, we have to re-schedule this year’s luncheon due to the coronavirus.
However, we still want to give a big shout out to the dozens of individuals and families who make NAMI Wilmington happen each year. Please look at the attached list to see all of the names who bring NAMI into our community. If we’re missing a volunteer, we apologize and please let us know. Thanks.
We have re-scheduled the luncheon to Tuesday, September 15 at the Blue Water Grill. Keep an eye out for further announcements. Hopefully at that time, we will be able to join together once again as a NAMI Wilmington family.
Even with the pandemic, we have plans for the future including re-scheduling the Family to Family classes and resuming support groups. Starting this Wednesday, the peer support group will go virtual. Look at the website for additional information.
NAMI Wilmington and its Board of Directors wishes everyone to be safe and well during these times. Reach out to the various resources we have made available on our website if you need additional help.
