Executive Director Garry J. Crites has announced that NAMI North Carolina has received a gift of nearly $93,000 from a trust that John and Peggy Riebel provided for their daughter Joy, who recently passed away.
Janita Moody, the Executive Director of Life Plan Trust, which administered the distribution, wrote, “The entire family thought very highly of NAMI and appreciated the support and education that they received from various NAMI staff and groups throughout the years.”
In response, Crites said, “We are honored to be the recipients of such a generous gift from the Riebel family, and we give them our sincere thanks. With the faith that has been placed in us not only through this gift, but all gifts that we receive from our members and friends, we will redouble our efforts to educate and advocate for all of those who deal with mental health conditions and their loved ones.”
