At 9:00 pm on June 27 and 28, your local PBS television station will be showing a new Ken Burns documentary entitled Hiding in Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness.
Directed by Erik and Christopher Loren Ewers, this two-part documentary presents first-hand accounts of the mental health journeys of over 20 young people, often revealing conditions made even more challenging during the pandemic, but often kept hidden. It is starkly honest about the struggles of youth, but also about their resilience.
Supported, in part, by NAMI, Hiding in Plain Sight will be an invaluable tool for advocates, parents, and other adults who seek to help our young people navigate the shoals of mental health conditions. We encourage you to watch.
