For 2021, NAMI is pleased to once again present our annual national convention virtually. As we work to finalize our event dates, we have opened Virtual NAMICon 2021 Call for Proposals for your submissions.

This virtual platform is an opportunity to bring much needed mental health education, resources and support to a broader audience of individuals, families, allies and advocates, particularly after a year defined by isolation, uncertainty and adversity.

Proposals should consider the diverse perspectives and voices of our mental health community. Track topics include:

  • Addressing Mental Health Disparities
Anyone can be impacted by mental illness, but experiences and outcomes vary greatly depending on a person’s identity and background. To address these disparities, we must explore the intersections of culture, race, identity and mental health.
  • Supporting Stronger Communities
Strong communities depend on individuals with lived experience, peers, family members, professionals, broad coalitions and diverse partnerships using their collective voices to improve mental health services and advocate for meaningful change.

Additional tracks are Amplifying Youth and Young Adult Voices, Advancing the Promise of Research, and Living Well with a Mental Health Condition.

Visit the NAMICon 2021 Call for Proposals page for full track descriptions, guidelines and other important submission details. Deadline for proposals is Friday, Jan. 29.
