Word continues to get out about NAMI NC’s wonderful Helpline service! Last year NAMI NC received approximately 2,000 inquiries from individuals seeking help with all issues mental health-related. While this is not a professional counseling service, our Helpline is here to provide callers with various mental health information, the warm support they need, and/or to suggest partner agencies that may be able to provide more specialized assistance.
Could you or someone you know be a part of our Helpline team?? NAMI NC is now recruiting interns and others to serve as volunteer Helpline associates providing this vital service to our community. Training and support will be provided. It can be very rewarding – besides being an incredible resource for others, volunteers will gain insights into extensive knowledge about mental health matters in North Carolina.
