NAMI NC joined other health-oriented groups in the Mexican Consulate’s Community Health Week and Resource Fair on Friday, October 22 in Raleigh. The Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh serves both North and South Carolina Mexican population, which is estimated at over 1.3 Million.
The picture above shows NAMI NC’s Mikayla Cardona (4th from the left) who shared information about NAMI’s free and confidential mental health programs. NAMI NC and several of its affiliates have been working towards boosting local NAMI program offerings in Spanish* and partnering with organizations such as the Consulate to improve awareness and mental health resources available to this community.
