NAMI Family Support Group is held on the 2nd Monday of each month at Winter Park Presbyterian Church on the corner of Wrightsville Ave. and Kerr Ave. in Wilmington. It meets at 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor. For more information, contact Paul & Laura Bobotas at 910-251-6973.
What We Do
NAMI Wilmington holds informational meetings during the year at the First Baptist Activity Center. Covering a wide range of topics, they are free and open to the public.
CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) is a training program for first responders. It includes basic information information and best practices about mental illness and substance use disorders. A loved one and/or peer panel is needed.
NAMI Connection, a peer run support group for individuals with a mental illness, meets twice weekly.
Family to Family is an education program on the clinical treatment of mental illness for families of loved ones with a brain disorder.
NAMI Basics is a 6 week education program for parents to learn facts about pediatric mental health conditions, how to access resources and advocate for your child.
