Wow! Over 200 of you have already registered for the NAMI North Carolina’s annual conference taking place virtually on October 10, 2020. We welcome more of you to join in learning from our roster of dynamic speakers presenting on today’s issues affecting our community’s mental health.

Additionally, we will present our annual awards and, among other items, there will opportunities to network with like-minded individuals too. All of this is available to you at no charge from the comfort of your home or office!

Inspired by Maya Angelou’s motivational work, this year’s theme is “And Still I Rise.” This theme encapsulates challenges associated with mental illness, and the determination to not give up, and finding a way to thrive – regardless of society’s stigmas and current shortcomings.

One panel of speakers is comprised of a diverse group of authors, advocates, community organizers, and media personalities. (pictured above with moderator Pooja Mehta ). Hear from these speakers as they convey their experiences on “Still I Rise from Inequity.”
