Studies have shown that many people living with mental illness need support to feel included in the community. Lack of inclusion contributes to feelings of isolation and hampers healing. NAMI NC’s Community Inclusion (CI) program focuses on how individuals with mental illness can find natural supports and activities with others in their community—improving recovery outcomes, meaningful participation, and their quality of life.
Already active or interested in learning more? NAMI NC and others would like to see CI Programs on a regular basis throughout the state.
