Studies have shown that many people living with mental illness need support to feel included in the community. Lack of inclusion contributes to feelings of isolation and hampers healing. NAMI NC’s Community Inclusion (CI) program focuses on how individuals with mental illness can find natural supports and activities with others in their community—improving recovery outcomes, meaningful participation, and their quality of life.

Already active or interested in learning more? NAMI NC and others would like to see CI Programs on a regular basis throughout the state. On June 25th at 1pm, NAMI NC will have a very special virtual webcast in which all the components of embarking on a success CI program in your local area will be discussed – examples of successful programs, the available of free training, securing a mini-grant, and more! For this program we will also have a very special guest host, Bryan McCormick of Temple University, join us!
