NAMI has sent out the Spring Edition of the Advocate magazine. This edition is focused around the theme of “Bringing Our Community Together,” featuring articles addressing topics such as:

  • How group therapy functions in a remote environment
  • How 988 is an opportunity to change our crisis response system
  • How the new Accelerating Medicines Partnership will research better treatments for schizophrenia
  • How the NAMI HelpLine has expanded to support the growing mental health community.

NAMI NC Board member Dempris Gasque has penned a piece for this National magazine that talks about the pressure to be everything but himself.

Jennifer Rothman, former NAMI NC staff member and current Youth/Young Adult Initiatives manager at NAMI, is also featured.
